Water's Edge, Ruswarp

Absolutely stunning property we couldnt have asked for more! We had the most wonderful stay at Waters Edge in Ruswarp. Everything was absolutely perfect, and we genuinely had everything we needed and more. The property is stunning, beautifully presented, incredibly comfortable, and such excellent value for money. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into making guests feel at home. We booked for 8 people, although one person unfortunately couldn't make it in the end, so there were 7 of us staying. The only tiny recommendation we would make is to perhaps have enough towels available for the maximum number of guests booked. We found there were 5 large towels and 5 hand towels for our party. It wasn't a problem at all as I always bring extra towels with me, so we were absolutely fine just something worth mentioning for future stays. Other than that, everything was outofthisworld perfect. We honestly couldn't fault the property or our stay. The location is gorgeous, the house is beautiful, and it was the perfect base for our time in Whitby and the surrounding area. We enjoyed every minute and were genuinely sad to leave! We will 100 be back as often as possible whenever we're visiting Whitby! It is rare to find somewhere that ticks every box, but Waters Edge absolutely did for us. A huge, huge thank you from all of us for such a wonderful stay. We loved it!

A lovely house with everything you could need for a lovely holiday. Had the bonus of watching the steam trains go past the end of the garden too.

Beautiful property in a quiet area. Spacious and comfortable. Very clean, kitchen contains everything you need for a stay. Fabulous view at the back of the property. Great area, only short car journeys needed to visit some amazing places. Would highly recommend this property

Our stay at waters edge was an absolute pleasure. This place has it all,very clean and well maintained and in a great location overlooking the river esk ,never a dull moment watching the wildlife and trains going past ,also has fantastic butchers nearby that sells the best of everything.we would definitely recommend waters edge. Our third stay at Waters Edge. A lovely home from home in a delightful position overlooking the River Esk. The house is well maintained and the kitchen is fully equipped making eating in an easy task. Beautifully situated for Whitby on foot. Decent pub and an award winning butchers shop just around the corner. Highly recommend this property

The holiday cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable for our extended family of 7. It was equipped with everything we needed and had wonderful views of the river where we enjoyed watching the seal each day at high tide along with bird life including a kingfisher. The lounge and conservatory were both great places for relaxing, the bedrooms were very comfortable and we were easily able to make large meals and even party food in the well designed and equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the walk and quick train journey into Whitby and visiting the local area. Many thanks for a memorable holiday.

We try and come here twice a year , its a perfect get away . Though the weather wasnt very good this time we enjoy relaxing watching the river .

The Most perfect House in the Most relaxed location. Also wonderful views of the NYMR Steam Trains passing by . Short walk or drive to whitby. Great for exploring the Notth Yorkshire coast and Moors.

We basically lived downstairs. The conservatory and kitchen were the hub of the house where we all spent time together. Our children and partners commented that they had trouble sleeping in top bedrooms because it was too hot. But overall this is an excellent location and layout for a grown up family. Enjoyed the flat walk into Whitby

Excellent location very nice property only one problem the dining area is a little small for 8 people but that is the only complaint. It is good that you can walk into Whitby as parking your car costs 6 to7 pounds a day.

Lovely Outlook, well equipped but Only one bath towel in the double bedroom for two of us . N ot suitable for anyone not good on steps and stairs. Needs handrail to access the decked area. I would recommend but only to Young legs!

Fabulous stay at waters edge with friends. Upon arrival we were blown away by the spacious townhouse. The outside space and conservatory area were amazing and is where we spent most of our time, as the North Yorkshire weather was exceptionally kind to us during our stay. When we did sit inside late evening, the lounge area was amazing also, such a spacious room, the entire 1st floor space, so plenty of room for all to sit and relax. Ruswarp is a pretty little village and so close to Whitby, which is an easy walk away. If feeling energetic and fancy a longer walk, then Robin hoods bay is also walkable along the cinder path, amazing views for most of the walk on the coast. A trip to the Riverside cafe just a short walk from Waters Edge is also recommended. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and furnished to a very high standard and really well equipped. Communication with the owners prior to arrival was excellent, and should we ever visit the area again, would definitely return here.

The house was very spacious set over 3 floors. The view from the conservatory overlooking the river was stunning. Excellent location. Ruswarp train station and busses into Whitby were a short stroll away from the accommodation. There was also a lovely canal path walk into Whitby town centre which was around a 30min walk. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Love it here. The house is great. We didnt use the sitting room at all,we spent all the time in the conservatory. I have already booked for early next year.

The most relaxing perfect location Relax and unwind in a wonderful house.

We had a wonderful seven days stay in this wellequipped, well decorated property. We particularly enjoyed the conservatory, outside space, the lounge area and kitchen. It was a great base to walk into Whitby via the riverside and also the Monks Trod which only took 30 mins. We would like to stay here again in the future.

Superb house for a very relaxing stay. Very comfortable and well equipped. Lounge in particular was huge with lively relaxing furniture and a big TV! The riverside location did not disappoint, and early morning coffee on the patio watching for the kingfisher flashing past was a highlight. Ideal location just a short walk along the railway into Whitby if you enjoy walking! Fantastic little butchers in Ruswarp with possibly the best pork pies with Stilton I've tasted. Had no problems all week, but very friendly guy a couple of doors down who would help if needed. Highly recommend, hope to stay there again in the future

We had a lovely stay. The house description is spot on and ideal for a family get together. The location is perfect, not too far to walk in to Whitby, but far enough away from all the crowds. Ruswarp is a lovely village, we all enjoyed boating on the river and a ride on the little train. We would definitely recommend this property.

Reluctant to put this on as everyone will want to go there, but this is a wonderful house in a perfect position. We loved every minute . We sat in the conservatory nearly all the time watching the river and the steam trains. We were there only one day and Ive rebooked it again for the end of the year.

Fabulous location, lovely property perfect for our needs. The owner was helpful and knowledgeable all of her recommendations about walks, pub and shops were spot on. We were extremely lucky with the weather, but even on rainy days there would be plenty to do and the property is perfect for family games days if its not fit to go outside. We will be back!

The house was amazing . Everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. We loved every minute of it .The walk into Whitby took 40mins. All very enjoyable

Terrific location and lovely house. A couple of different easy walks into Whitby from Ruswarp meant that the car wasn't needed much. The house was great, everything we wanted. We all loved the decking, just watching the ducks and waving to the trains, a proper treat!

Good sized accommodation, in a very peaceful location overlooking the river. There is an excellent riverside cafe a short walk along the road, which we frequented often. Whitby is only a short drive away.

Excellent holiday property. Very well equiped kitchen. Comfortable beds with quality bed linen. Ruswarp is a short walk or drive to Whitby and many other lovely places. The Bridge pub is well worth a visit. The food and drinks top notch. The house is on the river which has an abundance of wildlife including seals, cormorants, swans and ducks. Perfect week.

Property has a broken window lock in the conservatory. Draft when the wind was blowing. 5th year of using this property. Great location, despite Covid restrictions.
