Trillo House Reviews

Nice roomy house. Well stocked kitchen with a wonderful welcome pack. Great hot tub!! Great location! Only one small complaint, needs a vacuum Cleaner so guests can clean up the crumbs from the kitchen, sand in the carpet from the beach etc.
Joanne
Superb location, Trillo House is characterful and has everything you need. Clean, spacious and comfortable you felt like you could be together or have your separate space. The patio area is very exposed where the hot tub is located and could do with some privacy screening, but it was warm and enjoyable if you didnt mind the passers by looking on.
Edward
Beautiful house in a perfect location. We spent a week here over the festive period, celebrating new year as a family of eight. Had issues with the hot tub not heating and seems to have a permanent leak which means we had to top up with water from the cold hose pipe. Tried calling and messaging owner several times, unfortunately no one got back to us so we were unable to use the hot tub as much as we had hoped which was disappointing.
We had a lovely time at trillo house it was gorgeous and very icentral to the town. The only negative was the hot tub wasnt very private. There could have been some screening along the railings. We would definetly stay again at this beautiful property.
Lovely house in a great location
Just returned from a 3 day stay at Trillo House and can thoroughly recommend it. We were a party of 6 adults, an 11 year old, 3 year old, 2 babies and a dog. More than enough room for us all and the rooms are all a good size, well decorated and furnished. We were lucky enough to park all 3 cars on the street outside and it's just a short walk into the town centre. The hot tub was used a couple of times and a plus for us was an outhouse where we were able to store pushchairs. Lovely welcome pack too.

We had a fantastic stay at Trillo House. We were slightly worried about the location and accommodation because we travelled with my dad who is 83 however, it was fine. Yes, its located on a hill but it wasnt as bad as we thought it may be, only a couple of minutes down and very accessible for the centre of Whitby. We didnt have any problems with parking and we had a cars. Beautiful big bedrooms and very clean.

We recently stayed at Trillo House in Whitby for a lovely getaway and it was one of the best places weve rented in the town. The property is large and spacious, with superb bedsbig, beautiful, and very comfortable, and the clean, crisp sheets contributed to a great nights sleep. The outdoor space is pleasant for watching the world go by, and the central location is a definite plus. The kids absolutely loved the hot tub, and communication with the owner was good, especially helpful when addressing a few minor issues. If theres one thing to note, and only one, its that we couldnt figure out how to use the washerdryer separately for washing only our clothes came out wrinkled from the cycle. Well seek guidance on this if we stay again. Overall, excellent value for money, and wed happily return or recommend to others. Rating 55

This is a lovely property and furnished to a very high standard which made for a really comfortable stay, very close to the town so easy to walk in. Beautiful welcome basket on arrival the best one weve ever had! Stocked very well with towels, robes, cleaning products in the kitchen to make your stay easy. There a few things that could be improved on however, the drains smell quite bad outside, the small courtyard could do with being improved and definitely weeded! The hot tub is very small, only fit one adult in really and it didnt look clean enough, the water looked a bit green so we didnt use it after the first day. The shower tray fills up very quickly so could do with checking if there is a drain blockage somewhere, and the parking situation is quite stressful if you arrive on a busy Saturday, during the week it was fine though and space to park in the street. Early checkout of 9am we felt was too early so actually left the night before. Overall though a lovely house, if the garden and hot tub was improved would have thought about returning.

Lovely stay , perfect for large families, very welcoming.

Trillo House is a beautiful, spacious property situated on a picturesque street within easy walking distance of all amenities. We adored the quirky features and layout of the property and felt that the owners had taken great care to ensure our comfort. There was a wonderful welcome basket full of goodies and the fridge was stocked with essentials which was greatly appreciated. The property was clean and the huge beds were so comfortable. The only very slight issue for us was the hot tub. There were 5 of us and the hot tub is only big enough for 2 at a time. We would have preferred a bit more privacy from the street but that's just personal choice. Overall we loved our stay at Trillo House and wouldn't hesitate to re book or recommend to others.
Lots of lovely little touches that made it homely. Very well equipped . Wish it was my house. Thanks
Charlotte
A lovely home, great location and wonderful facilities. Owner on hand should you need anything. Car parking not great in Whitby but we arrived on Monday afternoon and found a space outside the house which was perfect. Parking permits provided at the house.
Great location and our grandsons loved the hot tub. The robes were a great idea and very welcome. The welcome basket was very much appreciated by all of us. The beds were comfy and although we only used one of them, having 2 lounges would be useful for longer stays. A lovely house in a great position to walk easily into Whitby.
Pricilla
Beautiful house, a really nice welcome with fresh bread, milk and a bottle of wine. The only downside to this property is the hot tub is a two person as the house sleeps 6 this was disappointing we couldnt all fit in.. I do think this should be included in the listing details.

This property is simply stunning. We booked as a surprise 60th birthday for my husband and our family. From the moment we stepped into the house , we knew our weekend would be special. The house is beautiful, really comfortable and gave us freedom to have time apart as well as places to come together. The hot tub was a favourite with my adult children The hosts were really accommodating and provided us with a welcome pack. It was sublime and were already planning our next holiday back.
Michael
Enjoyed our stay again. Lovely house and a very kind welcome package.
What a beautiful house and excellent location. The rooms and facilities were five star, and the welcome basket was a lovely treat of coffee, tea, wine, eggs, bread and butter. The robes were handy when we went in the hot tub. Would highly recommend
Lindsey
Really lovely place and a great location. Very clean and modern and comfortable and a really nice gift of tea, coffee, Prosecco really appreciated and thoughtful. Couldnt fault anything it was lovely! X
Allison
Great house for 8 adults. Fab location though parking can be tricky. Well equipped with lovely beds. Hot tub added bonus. Fab welcome pack.
Maxine
The house is amazing, all done for Christmas you get a welcome pack with jams, tea, coffee bread, drinks. A lovely bunch of flowers the beds a so comfortable it is beautiful.I would say the only down fall was the hot tub, it was only a 2 person hot tub. Very close to the main part of Whitby as well
Lovely quirky house in great location Well presented and beautiful welcome hamper. Great communication with the owners. Would definitely recommend to others.
We thought the house was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was a huge hit with both adults and children. Beds very comfy. Rooms spacious so plenty of opportunities to get together and socialise but equally enough space to have a bit of time to yourself. Improvements vacuum cleaner doesnt pick up and no broom or mop for kitchen floor. No wooden spoons or serving spoons. Better instructions on where to park. Loved the grocery welcome pack and the fresh flowers a nice touch. All in all a great house would recommend as long as you are ok with stairs they deffo helped burn off the extra calories consumed over the weekend!
This holiday home is absolutely beautiful, able to walk to everything around whitby. The owners was very helpful both times I contacted them. The holiday home has everything available for you and is home from home and extras
Vivienne
Fabulous, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable house. The Welcome pack was excellent, with everything you'd need for a first night. Thank you, very much appreciated. Just 2 points for your consideration As our stay was early October, the weather was very rainy for the first 2 nights. No problem. However, if the hot tub had a canopy, we could have still used it. Perhaps you'd consider arranging a canopy for the comfort of future Customers. In addition, the timing of the heating should be your Customer's choice. Thank you
Jennifer
Beautifully furnished property in a really central yet quiet location. We didn't have much trouble finding locations to park using the permits provided. One thing which we hadn't realised from the description, though, was the open plan nature of the top floor room. Having no door meant the toilet and bath felt very openplan indeed! Also, there is no shower in this room which meant there is only the one shower for the whole house. Would highly recommend, despite this.
Ingrid
What a beautiful property, overwhelmed with all the little touches, flowers, welcome basket, bath robes & kitchen cleaning products incl the dish washer tablets. We all had a lovely stay and thoroughly enjoyed the house. If 8 of you need a home from home, this house is thoroughly recommended. We will be back. Absolutely beautiful property, stunning. Thank you Izzy & Edwin for allowing us to stay.
This was an excellent house to stay in. All the facilities were very good indeed and there was plenty of space for 4 couples to stay in. We spent a lot of the time socialising in the spacious kitchen diner. Being so close to the centre of Whitby was a big bonus. Parking was a little tricky as it is all around Whitby and you need to check that you have enough permits for the amount of cars you bring.
Rachel
We were a party of 6 plus a three year old and we then had visitors during the week. Trillo is perfectly placed for everything Whitby and has the benefit of a garden and hot tub which is very rare in Whitby. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms beautiful and the welcome pack much appreciated. Id also like to thank Izzy and Edwin for their super fast responses to correspondence and for posting my dress back when Id stupidly left it there and they are incredibly friendly and approachable. The kitchen would benefit from a mop with which Id have been able to clean the floor during our stay. We will definitely stay here again and loved every minute!! Thank you
Lovely place. Preferct location. Thanks for the welcome food and drinks. A very relaxing place to come back to after visiting the area. Great hotub and kitchen.
Wonderful house with all amenities provided. Four really good size and quirky bedrooms, all with good sized TVs. Two large sitting rooms, first and second floor with large TVs. Very large family bathroom with roll top bath and good shower on third floor, roll top bath on fourth floor with sink a toilet. Downstairs cloakroom. Extremely large kitchen with everything you need provided, including bottle of milk, butter and six eggs. Well maintained hot tub. All together a really lovely stay, being close to the train station and shops. My only negative comment would be that the small garden and furniture need some TLC. Parking wasnt too bad as managed to get both cars parked up outside, with the scratch cards in the window, for the duration of our stay. There is a park at the top of Newton Street where you can take your furry friends for a walk but it is very steep and dogs must be on a lead. The other park, where dogs are not allowed, is absolutely stunning and worth a walk round. All together a really lovely stay and highly recommended. Great communication with the owners too.
Sheryl
Lovely! Shame about the weather.
Rachel
We have had a brilliant time at trillo house, what a beautiful property. Extremely well equipped with everything that we needed. Very well looked after and the cleanliness was superb. Fantastic location already looking at dates to re book. Thankyou so much you have a beautiful property.
Many thanks for a wonderful weekend in Trillo house. It is a beautiful place and a fabulous location. Quite a hidden gem! The extras you provided were greatly appreciated and went down well at breakfast time. The hot tub was great to relax in after our long walk around Goathland on Saturday, even the men enjoyed it! The bedrooms were quite spacious with really comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again! Kind regards Bev Higgins
Michelle
The house is gorgeous, its layout and decoration are superb and the owners have thought of everything so its very well equipped. We were welcomed with fresh milk, eggs, bread, butter and a selection of jams and marmalades which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was an added bonus which we really enjoyed. Location couldnt have been better. The owners Izzy & Edwin were lovely and very helpful, would definitely recommend this property if you are looking to stay in Whitby.
Lovely property, couldnt of got a better location, parking was absolutely fine loads near by free parking and used the 4 permits that were given to us by the owners, owners were very helpful with any questions and gave clear instructions for accessing the property! Property was very spacious and clean. Thanks for a lovely stay and hope to stay again soon!
Robert
Verywell situated near the centre of Whitby, the house was very comfortable and extremely well furnished and equiped . Easy to use central heating . The owners were very nice and helpful on the odd accasion we needed to contact them
Elizabeth
A beautiful house with everything you could ask for. Very well equipped and perfect for a large family group. We had a magical time. The house was decorated ready for Christmas and felt so special. Trillo house is very well located close to the town centre with bakeries, shops and pubs near at hand. Great for popping out for a paper in the morning. We loved having the hot tub available and spending time together having evening meals and games in the large kitchen. I would highly recommend this property.
Nice house and well cared for clean and tidy ideal location shame the parking is not better, we would be happy to stay here again.
