Brownberrie Cottage Sleights Reviews

Jill
cottage very comfortable with nice big lounge & 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms . what it lacked for us was mirrors , good lighting , storage for clothes in bedrooms , hanging space . worst of all the state of the back garden , we normally spend quite a bit of time sitting in the garden , chatting , having a drink or meal , but we didnt this year as the garden was so univiting , plus it wasnt a cheap house , we expected more of the garden , very disappointed .
Gayle
Lovely cottage in a fab location, thoroughly enjoyed our week
Andrew
Lovely cottage with easy access to all the coast. Also a butchers and a bakers plus a Spa shop on the doorstep yards away made it a good spot . Nice holiday cottage
Jacqueline
This is a lovely cottage in a very good location for whitby, pickering and all the lovely villages and surrounding area
David
Nice characterful cottage, with lovely dining room and lounge. We enjoyed the stay. Kitchen is good too but if you want to cook for 6 or more it could do with a few more cooking essentials. Although there is parking for 2 cars it is v awkward - you need to either back in or back out on to a busy road. Overall a good place to enjoy the moors and coast.
Jill
Located in a nice village. Post office / spar very handy. Bakers and butcher's both looked lovely. Took the train in to whitby grandson loved that. Cottage ideal with good parking
Lynn
Location is good but cottage was not clean & very poorly equipped. Expected more for the price.
Anne
We had a great week at the cottage, great sized dinning room there were 7 of us and there was plenty of room. Good sized lounge. Beds very comfortable. Very warm cosy cottage, weather was so mild for time of year had to turn heating down/ off in some rooms. Managed to park 3 cars on the drive. Spar, butchers and bakers within minutes of the cottage a real bonus and a very good fish and chip shop just a bit further but still walkable.
David
Cottage was adequate inside for 4 adults and 2 dogs with good space and fairly clean. Close to all attractions with the Moors and Coast within easy reach. However outside in the back garden area it was another story with the area overgrown and in a very poor condition and untidy which with 2 dogs was a complete disappointment as you could not sit out in the area. Reported to Original Cottages who offered to send a gardener round but garden requires a complete overhaul. Had a pleasant stay but will not return.
Oliver
Overall the property had character and we stayed as family of 6 with 2 dogs it was good size however it had some limited information and the place and had very basic essentials. Location is great to visit Whitby however it is on a busy road
Elizabeth
Well equipped and comfortable period holiday cottage. Although on main road, well soundproofed and extremely convenient for Spar shop - open every day until 10pm - excellent butcher, deli and bakers. Great position for all attractions on the coast together with local village community events. All ages of our extended family plus dogs had a great holiday.
Simon
Fantastic cottage. Very comfortable- the beds were so comfortable. The location is fantastic too with a lovely butchers, bakery and fish and chips shop in the village. We had a lovely holiday there and would love to return.
