Stewart House, 19 Well Close Square

Lovely house which was perfect for our reunion. Excellent location in Whitby both for access to shops and restaurants and walking routes.

Amazing! Great comms throughout, very responsive. The house is in a great location and well equiped. Parking is a squeeze close by, but plenty of onstreet parking and parking vouchers are provided inside. I cannot rate the place and owner highly enough.

Clean and comfortable house in a great central location in the heart of Whitby no need to use a car at all unless you wish to go further afield. Good bus links to north and south along the coast. Cycling along the cinder cycle path to Robin Hood's Bay makes a good day out, as does walking along the coast to Staithes. Our party of 10 had plenty of space and enjoyed a relaxing week.

Lovely holiday home in the perfect location for exploring Whitby and surrounding areas. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Great for larger family gatherings. Communication from the owner was excellent throughout our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Thank you for an amazing stayi in your beautiful Georgian seaside home. It was thoroughly equipped in all areas with a mixture of antiquemodern furnishings, which gave it the feeling of being trendy and of quality . The accommodation was comfortable in all areas and was of large proportions, easily offering adequate space for some privacy, alongside ample room for a large party. There was plenty of showers and baths and the walled open space was more adequate than described. The house did not give the impression that it could be occupied by two dogs and a dozen people at anytime. It was very well cleaned everywhere and a small mountain of towels accompanied the new bedding in every room. Cleaning material were readily available and a very fine hamper of local produce. Just enough to give you the beginnings of a desire to seek out local produce whilst here. There were a number of parking passes for your stay in the area and adequate space was always avaiable within 5 minutes in the designated areas of w The instruction book was put together well and covered everything you need. There was the owners recommendation for local eating and drinking. Leaflets of places and activities were around. Overall a very impressive property which gave feelings of comfort, warmth and welcome Leaving was difficult . we may be back

We had a wonderful stay at Stewart house celebrating our 50th birthdays. Beautiful house, loads of space and well equipped. Excellent location, in lovely Whitby. If I have an excuse for a big celebration we would definitely stay again and my friends and family declared it a good find and fell in love with Whitby. I would also like to say how very friendly the owner Esther was and so quick to respond to a couple of minor maintenance issues, resolved quickly during our stay. If I was to provide a little feedback be very clear on the listingbooking info on how tricky the parking is at the propertygarage and how very close and easy it is to park on nearby streets with the permits you kindly provided. Also the welcome pack was very gratefully received, lovely local biscuits, tea, coffee, fizz and milk a few basics of pepper, cooking oil and kitchen bits bin liners, kitchen roll would make it even more perfect for guests, Thank you again! A beautiful, spacious house in a great position for exploring Whitby. The rooms are all generous sizes. The sofas and beds are all very comfortable. We had plenty of hot water and appreciated the ample bathrooms. Parking can be a challenge as the rear parking space and garage are a bit narrow but we managed to use them both.If you have more than 2 cars then more parking using the provided disc and scratch cards are just up the road. The location is quiet as not located on a tourist route. Having a bakery so close was fabulous. Wed happily return as this is the perfect base for exploring this fabulous town

Absolutely gorgeous house. Everything we needed for a family celebration weekend. The house is like a tardis, so many beautifully decorated rooms. A gorgeous little courtyard to sit in on a sunny day. A fantastic location, perfect for exploring Whitby. Thank you to the host for the welcome treats, a bottle of Prosecco was very much appreciated on arrival.

Stewart house was the perfect place to celebrate a 60th birthday. Plenty of room for all the family. Perfect location for all the amenities Whitby has to offer. The house is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Extremely comfortable sofas in the drawing room. Perfect to curl up on after a days exploring.

Stewart House is clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped and in a great central position. We had a family gathering of all ages here and it worked perfectly. The shops, pubs, restaurants are a stones throw away and the sites, harbour, jaw bones, Pannett Park are only a stones throw away. A beautiful home from home, we all enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Staying at Stewart House was very nice and would recommend it to anyone. Prefect location for pubs, restaurants, bakery and small shops.We were five couples and there was loads of space in bedrooms,sitting rooms and kitchendinner,We would definitely stay again. One small problem if all bedrooms are using the showers at the same time the water on the second floor bedrooms runs slow,but thats been a bit pickyWe all really enjoyed our stay.

What a fabulous property! The house is amazing and has everything you could possibly need. The owners have thought of everything and are really helpful and accommodating when answering queries. The house is in a perfect location, 5 min walk from the sea and the centre of Whitby. It has a parking space at the back and the owner leaves parking permits for other cars that you have which you can then park within certain zones. The house is tastefully decorated and we have joked that if we win the lottery we would love to buy it. There is a fabulous bakery just a stones throw away and pubs , shops etc are all just a short stroll away. Highly recommended

Lovely house but never been to a holiday cottage without salt and pepper and lack of hand wash in some bathroomstoilets. For some reason first floor bedroom rads were not working whilst all others wereand yes they were turned to the highest level. But the house was very clean and comfortable with all the cooking facilities available.we all had a great holiday break

We had a fantastic relaxing time everything about the house is as described, very comfortable beds and good showers our only issue was the step up to the utility it could be highlighted as one of our party fell up it causing her bruising, also people need to be aware as well as the car space being small the roads around the square are very narrow and can be testing to navigate, after saying all that I would highly recommend Stewart House.

Stewart House is well situated and in a good location. It has some generous sized rooms and is comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well equipped. The windows have roller blinds which, for me, allowed in too much light. The beds were comfortable but those with wooden frames are creaky. The whole family enjoyed our stay and we would recommend the house.

There were 12 of us in total that stayed in Stewart house over the bank holiday weekend. We LOVED the house. It felt spacious, even though there were so many of us. The house was spotless. Kitchen equipment was great. Big pans, sharp knives always a plus! Beds were comfy. Great communication with the owners. Were planning our return trip.

I lovely large family town house , well equipped and well situated in the centre of Whitby. Lived up to its description . I will book it again , for another family holiday .

Stewart House is a beautiful property with lots of character set in the cobbled streets of Whitby with interesting independent shops on its doorstep. We spent a delightful, cosy Christmas there thanks to the efforts of our wonderful hostess, Esther, who went beyond expectations to make us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend the property.

The house was clean on arrival and had evrything that was needed for a family break, 8 adults, four children and an infant. Quality comfortable furnature and kitchen appliances comfortable beds with quality ben linen.

This is a great property, perfect position for access to town and plenty big enough for large families. We liked the fact that there were plenty of shower rooms, the beds were comfy and all beddingtowels etc of a very high standard. Overall we could not fault this property and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is an amazing house and we all agreed that it was ideal for our cousins reunion of 11 people and 2 dogs. The decor and furnishings are beautiful and it was very well equipped. Location is very central and its only a few minutes walk to the gorgeous beach. We were very lucky with the weather and we did two great walks from the house and even a swim in the sea!! It was most of our partys first visit to Whitby but we all fell in love with it and wed certainly like to return and hopefully stay again in Stewart House.

We immediately felt at home in Stewart House the welcome booklet exudes warmth and made us feel at ease No detail has been overlooked from comfortable beds, quality linen and towels, to every possible kitchen utensil including scales and baking equipment! We cannot recommend highly enough

We had a fabulous stay at this delightful property. The location was fantastic. We had 5 vehicles in total and did not find the parking a problem. Would definitly recommend Stewart House for large group getaways.

Beautiful house, perfect location parking unfortunately was an issue. One space for a small car at the back of property and no space outside the house you had to find parking on neighbouring streets. parking discs provided Unfortunately it was a very busy weekend and we had to use public car parks for all our 4 cars. We had a very enjoyable stay and the house had all our comforts catered for.

We booked Stewart House for a family gathering. ..our first in three years. We could not have chosen better. Our group was a mix of adults, children and dogs and we all felt so welcome and comfortable. The house and Whitby were just perfect for us all. Esther had thought of everything, including arrival surprises for humans and dogs! The house is gorgeous and we all wanted to take our beds home! Thank you so much I suspect we'll be back next year too!

We really enjoyed staying in this large comfortable house. All the rooms are homely and beautifully decorated and it is in a great spot for exploring Whitby. We would definitely book again for our large group of work colleagues. We liked the atmosphere of the house so much that we stayed in for all our meals, mostly from great local takeaways. On the downside, the lack of parking was a concern until we found street parking spots and used the scratch cards provided in the house. There were plenty of these available for our stay. In the kitchen we felt more tea towels, dishwasher tabs, j cloths and spare bin bags would have been useful and we did find a few sticky spotsdoor handles in here. Also some logs for the log burner would've been nice. Otherwise, a brilliant venue for our stay in Whitby that we thoroughly enjoyed!

We had a fabulous stay in fantastic accommodation. The owner was really friendly and helpful. Facilities were great with lots of space to socialise. We were a group of 10 adults, but accommodation would be great for 2 or 3 families as there were 2 distinct bedroom areas. A lovely welcome pack. There was also one for my dogs which was a lovely gesture. House is close to the centre of Whitby and all the shopspubsbeach. Lots of parking scratchcards were also provided so we had no trouble parking 5 cars for the weekend. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Will defnitely be back!

A charming, very spacious house very well located. Great for a large group to have a lovely main reception room, a snug and a kitchendiningsofa area. Very stylish and comfortable bedrooms.
