Great house with amazing views and beautiful sunsets. Has all that you need and a lovely welcome pack. The were really helpful with information before we arrived. Beds comfortable, gorgeous towels, all that you need in the kitchen. Everything really clean. Parking can be tricky we had 3 cars but once youre there and parked up, everything you need is on foot. We had a special weekend as a family group getting together. Was made even more special by the house and views.

Wonderful views, superb location, our 3rd visit, not the last.

The cottage is in a superb location being only a couple of minutes walk from the shops, restaurants and bars on the Abbey side of town. It is equipped to an outstanding standard. As the living accommodation is on the top floor, you can literally soak in the wonderful views of the harbour with the added bonus of seeing the steam train pulling into Whitby Station. The free onroad parking was also a great bonus as there were four cars in total in our party. Communication from the owner was good and shows a high level of organisation to ensure a relaxing stay. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch thank you. The only minor issues for us were that we had eight people so we were at full capacity but in the twin room, towels were only provided for one person. People from the other rooms donated their hand towels but it seemed like a bit of an oversight. Equally, and this is really another housekeeping issue, eight people for three nights needed more than six toilet rolls. I know it is only a really minor moan but noone wants to run out of toilet roll! We will definitely recommend you to anyone wishing to sample the delights of Whitby.

The house was clean and comfortable. Soft fluffy towels and no chipped pots or glasses! It had everything we needed and great to be able to put one of our cars in the garage. There is free on street parking if you are lucky enough to get a space. Fabulous view from the top floor. The only downside was the road noise, and not having opening windows in 3 of the bedrooms.

Harbour Sunset was a splendid place to spend the weekend. The accommodation was excellent with lovely views from the balcony. A very comfortable and pleasant stay for our family.

Amazing location, could sit upstairs all day and watch that view, the owners made sure we had two high chairs and travel cots, we only had one problem and that was the heat in the bedrooms would of been lovely to have air conditioning in the bedrooms that didnt have windows but fans provided did help a little.

An absolutely beautiful property. Very clean, excellent fixtures and fittings with everything you could need and more. Amazing view over the river and a short walk into town. The added bonus of the garage to park in is brilliant especially in Whitby where parking can be an issue. Perhaps not ideal for people with mobility issues as the living room is on the top floor but the balcony with the view is absolutely perfect. I'd definitely stay again and would recommend this property to others.

Our overall experience can be described as fabulous. The gift box on arrival was brilliant, with that extra touch, a bottle of prosecco, a lovely way to start the holiday. The furniture and appointments were superb 3 sumptuous leather sofas in the lounge that overlooked the harbour and a fabulous dining table with comfortable chairs. The standard throughout the house was top notch. We must also say that the hosts were excellent a battery in the fire alarm was near the end of its charge, with an intermittent beeping, within a few minutes of getting on the phone to Jayne the maintenance man was there sorting it out. Nothing was too much trouble. The position of the property was just right. Sitting on the balcony sipping wine looking at the sunset overlooking the harbour, what's not to like? Overall a five star rating from our family! Thank you.

We love this house. Stayed here 3 years in a row. The only negative is the heat in the house requiring fans on at all times even at night. But we will be back, it is the best in Whitby.

The house was just amazing, it was perfect for 8 adults to spend Christmas and celebrate a 50th birthday. The house had everything we needed and was so clean. The welcome pack was a lovely touch too. Just as described and cannot recommend highly enough. We will certainly book again.

Just returned home from a week's stay in Harbour Sunset and none of us wanted to come home! The house is beautifully decorated, clean and fully equipped with everything needed for a self catering property including washing machine, dishwasher and coffee machine much to my mums delight!. Then there is the stunning view of the harbour from the living dining room which was the icing on the cake. It was lovely to sit on the balcony at any time, day or night, and watch the boats go by we also saw a couple of seals too!. As it is a covered balcony, it meant we also sat there on the 1 occasion it rained and could still enjoy the view. The house is perfectly situated and just a 5 minute, flat walk to the centre of Whitby. The property owners were only a phone call away if there was anything we needed but the information book answered any questions we had. We are already thinking of returning to Whitby for another holiday and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!

Had a fantastic stay at Harbour Sunset. Family holiday meeting up with sister and family. Accommodation was spotless and had absolutely everything you could possibly need. View from lounge was absolutely stunning and we particularly enjoyed just sitting there and watching the boats come and go. Welcome gift was a lovely touch which we thoroughly enjoyed. Wonderful place to stay for a holiday. Pictures dont do the property justice as it exceeded our expectations with its central position. Whitby and surrounding coastline is hilly and Harbour Sunset aptly named was on the level all the way to the town and beach, so a great base for those with difficulty doing hills. Garage was a definite bonus. The lovely owner Jayne gave us some very helpful info on day of arrival via telephone and made sure we knew she was available should there be any issues which there wasnt right through to her looking for my sisters I pad which she thought shed left behind but hadnt Jayne and John are First Class at providing First Class Holiday Accommodation and I would definitely recommend Harbour Sunset and would love to return without hesitation. Thank you Jayne and John for the opportunity to stay at your wonderful property . We all Loved it and didnt want to leave !!!

We were delighted with our choice of Harbour Sunset as our Whitby base. The house itself is so comfortable, clean and warm with everything required for a happy holiday. The house has a lovely aspect over the harbour on the quieter side but with pubs, great fish and chips takeaway and separate restaurant and other shops and attractions within easy walking distance. We walked everywhere! The garage is probably only suitable for smaller cars but there is free parking opposite on the street. After long days out we enjoyed relaxing and watching the world go by from the top floor sittingdiningkitchen and balcony.

Great location, with superb outlook from the comfortable lounge. Well equipped kitchen. Apart from the lovely front bedroom we found the other bedrooms rather stuffy with no windows, and no fresh air. The ground floor bedroom stayed quite cold as the heating never came on, due to the thermostat being on the top floor which was always warm. No extra bedding available. Very narrow garage only just got car in at a squeeze. But nevertheless a nice property.

Myself and family members spent a week at Harbour Sunset in April 2022. We were all very impressed with the property, it was exceptionally clean and so well prepared. The welcome pack was very handy and appreciated, thank you. The house itself is in a lovely location and only a few minutes walk into the town centre, there's a pub right next door, fish and chip shops in abundance and nice pubsrestaurants close by. The bustrain station is also in the town where you can travel easily to nearby tourist attractions. We went to Robin Hood's Bay which I would recommend visiting. The host was very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Thank you for a wonderful break.
