Sanders House Reviews

Caroline
The house was quirky and well located. However the cleanliness was not optimal, crockery dirty and so we needed to re wash items before use. Alley leading to house was covered in vomit and cigarette butts, a men's drinking club is located below the property, was at times noisy. Only a starter pack of essential items is included in the price, meaning guests will have to start holiday buying essentials dishwasher tabs, toilet paper etc. We also had maintenance problems, the letting agents Yorkshire Coastal cottages and Sykes were woefully inadequate and unhelpful, we finally managed to contact the owner directly who couldn't have been nicer. The company policy of starter packs and cleanliness of the property fell below our expectations of a stress free holiday, however if willing to spend first day of holiday cleaning and shopping the house was charming.
Louise
Fabulous place to stay. Right in the centre so perfect for walking everywhere. House was beautiful, very clean, spacious and very well equipt. Would certainly stay again.
Dorothy
A great family holiday house in a good location. Plenty of room for 8 people and having 3 bathrooms was a plus. Kitchen very well equipped. We all loved our stay there and wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful property, just off a main tourist street, but away from it all. Highly recommend. Great to have a parking permit, 10 minute walk up the hill.
Lovely comfortable stay house was wonderful with plenty of room for all
Beautiful, well kept home right in the heart of Whitby.
This was our second visit to Sanders House and we were just as impressed as we were first time round. The property is spacious, very clean, comfortable, well maintained and oh so convenient for walking around Whitby. It is a charming old property with lots of history, tucked away at the top of a yard literally minutes from everything you need. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for quality accommodation in a central location and would love to return again. The owners are friendly and very helpful if needed but the property has everything you could want for a self catering holiday. Loved it!
Christine
Fabulous little find in the heart of Whitby. Our second stay here and about to book for a 3rd. Beautifully clean. Well equipped. One small gripe was shower head in main bathroom would not stay on the fixing. Was incredibly painful on the old toes
Louise
