Aurora Reviews

7 of us and a baby stayed in Aurora from 27th Feb till 1 St March. The property was lovely a little too warm if anything. It was clean and tidy and everything we needed had been thought of. Great location for a short walk in to whitby. We will definitely be back
Christine
Aurora is a brilliant property, from the moment we arrived it was warm and welcoming, all the family loved it. Ideal for walking into town, clean and well equipped. Would definitely use again.
The house was ok , but needed some TLC with some cleaning ,oven was not that clean , and the bin when we took out our rubbish was nor good either. We didnt get of to a good start with this house as when we arrived at 3 10 , it had not been cleaned so was not ready for us .could not work the TV and gave up on that . We had a great week in Whitby but would think twice about booking this property again.
Graham
Great property in a very convenient location. There was a sizable group of us, adults and children, and it didn't feel over crowded. Very well equipped. We would definitely book again. Hopefully for longer next time. Easy walk into Whitby and good access to the main road for exploring further afield.
Neville
A delightful and welllocated townhouse, clean, comfortable, quiet and nicely appointed. The ensuite bathroom did need two new LED bulbs. The owner was informed early in our stay.
Kirsty
We enjoyed three nights in this beautiful house, it was clean, spacious and cozy for our joint family visit. All thats left is to get back the clothes I left.... mum life!! Thank you.
William
The house was excellent. Well equipped and clean. If I had a little point the weeds outside the front door and the hedge stoped you getting out the car. Back yard was untidy. But that was minor. Will definitely go back.
The accommodation was very comfortable and very well equipped clean and warm ... The accommodation was very comfortable and very well equipped clean and warm within walking distance to town all in all very nice place to stay and would definitely book it again
Lauren
We had a great stay in Aurora. It had everything we needed, was clean and comfortable and only a short walk into Whitby town centre. We will hopefully be back someday!
Great location, excellent clean comfortable house with great facilities. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. Added bonus was two parking spaces outside the property. Would definitely recommend.
Beautiful house with more than enough room for 6 of us 4 adults and 2 teenagers. We had everything we needed for a full weeks stay
Aurora is a fantastic holiday home. We couldnt fault it. Very clean, the decor is lovely. Everything you need is there. Location is brilliant just a ten minute walk along the river into Whitby town centre. The Cleveland way for stunning walks along the coast is on the doorstep. We would definitely return to this property.
Lovely property finished to a high standard, great for a family. Location is great for a stroll into Whitby and the property was easy to find. Parking for 2 cars was very useful. The bedroom in the basement felt very cold despite the warm weather, outside areas could do with some attention too. The heating schedule needs adjustment as it kept coming on. Overall, we would visit again and recommend.
Steven
Lovely house close enough to walk into Whitby. Everything we needed was there. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Excellent holiday home in a quiet, safe location close to the centre. We enjoyed our walk to and from the house each day. Lovely decor. My daughter would love to know the colourmake of the wall paint as she has just had a similar kitchen fitted while we were away
We had a lovely stay at Aurora. Perfect location for walking into Whitby and the area was nice and quiet. The property is spread over 3 levels so there are a lot of stairs. I would highly recommend to the owners to provide stair gates, as my 11 month old would take every opportunity he could to get to the stairs. Luckily, there were doors to every room, so we kept these shut at all times. Lovley large kitchen with everything you could need, with plenty of seating for all guests. We didn't use the outdoor seating area due to the time of year but I imagine it would be very nice in the summer. Private parking for 2 cars right outside the property was a real bonus. The welcome pack was a lovely gesture, thank you. Overall, I cannot fault the property, we will definitely return in the near future.
Excellent property. Spotlessly clean, modern and with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Plenty of space for everyone. Superb location, easy walk to the town and harbour.
Carole
Lovely property, well appointed. Would definitely stay here again. Comfortable beds and sofas, very clean throughout. The only minor niggle is nowhere to put shampoo, shower gel etc in the ensuite shower
Katherine
A beautifully clean and well appointed and equipped holiday home, with lots of space, comfy beds and thoughtful touches. A great base. A little more information on the location walking distance into Whitby would have been useful on the main listing.
Great place, quiet and comfortable with lots of space and we appreciated multiple toilets across all floors! About 15 minute walk to centre of town and no corner shop to pop to although there's a big Sainsbury's 5 mins drive away. You can see the river from the lounge, just, and it's nice to walk along it to town. The keys were on a big key fob that actually makes it very difficult to put them in the key box and shut it. It took nearly 4 minutes to fit them in the box and get it to close so we could leave.
Great property with amazing interior design. I could tell a lot of thought and care had gone into every aspect, many thanks for allowing us to have a glimpse of life in Aurora.
Claire
Had a lovely stay at Aurora. Great that we could park the car and walk into town. Very clean property with lovely comfy beds. Would definitely book again if we return to Whitby.
Thank you for a lovely stay, such a beautiful, clean home. Amazingly comfortable beds, with crisp, whiter than white sheets. Very well equipped kitchen and sparkling bathrooms on every floor with fluffy towels. Utility room with washer and dryer and wine fridge was wonderful. The townhouse was welldecorated and tastefully furnished with quality furniture, appliances and equipment. Parking for two cars, which is a bonus in Whitby, as we could leave our car and walk in to town. Aurora is in a very good location, with riverside walk enabling a flat, easy, 10 minute stroll in to Whitby with lots of pubs, cafes and quaint shops within easy reach, plus good beaches. We have holidayed in Whitby many times over the years, but have never stayed over this side of the river before, it was perfect. We loved watching the NYR steam train from the comfort of our lounge on a daily basis. Wonderful days out have been to Sandsend, Staithes, Runswick Bay, Robin Hood's Bay, plus inland to Goathland and Grossmont on the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. Just to note, the townhouse is over three floors, we had a 2.5 year old who is steady on his feet, so this wasn't a problem, but child gates to close off the first and second floor to keep littles ones securely contained would be helpful. The only improvements we would suggest are to the outside back yard area. The paved area would benefit from being jet washed, cushions provided for the outside seats could be stored in utility room and provide a washing line and pegs to save on using the dryer in good weather. We definitely recommend Aurora and hope to return to this accommodation for another, comfortable holiday. Thank you.
Great property in Whitby as a base for both an easy walk into town and getting out and about to visit the lovely countryside and villages nearby. Property was very comfortable modern and well appointed to be a home from home, with the benefit of both outside space and car parking. Owners are local and couldnt be more helpful which made for a very pleasant weeks vacation.
Stephen
I cannot fault this property It was perfect for us So clean with everything we needed Amazing
Amazing place, pristine, will recommend and definitely visit again. Very clean and well equipped. Thank you so much Neil and Pam.
We had a wonderful family break in Aurora. Immaculately clean and spacious with everything you need. Comfortable beds and very spacious kitchen and lounge, with Sky stream TV an added bonus! It was great to be able to park on the drive with our cars and take the short walk into the Town centre without the hassle of finding somewhere to park. Great walks nearby and a convenient friendly pub 5 mins walk on the way into Town. Lovely quiet area and we will definitely return later in the summer. Marie, Michael & Family. April 2023
