Whitby View Reviews

Lovely house excellent location. Needs mirrors in bedrooms and maybe a couple of lamps downstairs. Inside very clean and well maintained but outdoor area is poor and untidy. Needs some TLC for a summertime stay.
Property was perfect for our stay 3 adults and 3 children Was well equipped with what we needed for our stay. Was clean, warm, comfortable and location was excellent. Parking was s big bonus and husband loved the garage lol. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
2nd time staying here fantastic location
Everything was perfect
Excellent location for exploring Whitby with stunning views from the top floor. Clean and well maintained throughout. Parking is a bonus. The outdoor areas definitely need attention if staying in the Summer season and mirrors and waste paper bins needed throughout the house, particularly in bedrooms. Would come again once back yard is improved.

Myself my Partner and our two children have just returned from a week stay at Whitby View the house was comfortable clean and modern and in a fantastic location near the centre of Whitby with a lovely view they only things that I would suggest is an iron and ironing board luckily I'd taken my travel iron more space to hang clothing up and maybe better WiFi as during our stay it kept going down for short periods but all in all we had a fantastic week and would definitely go back again
Property was very comfortableclean and well maintained. Well equipped throughout and easily usable. Spaceous shower area and good sized bedrooms. LivingDining and Kitchen areas nicely planned. Really loved the additional blackberry bush out back. Nice views over the harbour. Ovengloves would be useful for the kitchen, as would cleaning fluid, for the shower areas as well. Glass surface protectors tend to blunt knives so a timber chopping board would be benificial. Blinds in the shower areas and at the bottom of the staircase would improve privacy. The garage is a major bonus. It would be improved by clearing out all the stuff in there totally. It was just long enough to fit my Insignia in but didn't leave much width with the bench unit being there, making it difficult to get in and out of. Maybe would allow two cars to be parked in there.
Really nice house in a lovely location
Hilary
The house was very clean, and we did have a wonderful stay. All beds were comfortable would have been nice to have an iron or maybe we could find it views were amazing and so close to all amenities. Just a minor things the mixer tap in kitchen was so loose I thought it would fall off and there is a leak on the bathroom downpipe outside so when you use the shower it pours out of the leak onto the kitchen window outside. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again xx
Andrew
Pleasant accommodation, very central to town.
A fantastic clean house with everything you could want. An electric garage to lock our car away. Front and back gardens . The house is so central you can do Whitby on foot. Will definitely be back!
Stella
The accommodation was fantastic, just as described. Location spot on. Will definitely use Skye cottages again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.. we will be back xx
Curtains required now dark nights are here, couldn't open the garage door, the kitchen door had no key. Noticed a wet patch on the coconut mat in the porch way just to the left of the door, couldn't detect lts source. A lovely property, thank you.
This is not the most attractive property in Whitby but the newly refurbished accommodation and location are superb. Views over the railway station so you can watch the steam engines and see the Abbey in all its splendour. Just fantastic!
Stephen
Parking not as described i. E. Front house only 1 hr parking, rear can only park small vehicle without being on road, garage parking good but new door required before collapses and causes damage. Location of property for town is propertydecoration, cleanliness, space, linen, all excellent and very comfortable. May we suggest provision of following would be helpful i.e. Microwave, tea pot, potato masher, pan stand for hot pans and gravymilk jug. We enjoyed our stay very much and will return thank you
