A beautiful warm house with fabulous views, and comfortable and nicely furnished bedrooms, the kitchen was well equipped with everything thing you need for food preparation. The treats hamper was a nice gesture and was most appreciated. We all had fun in the games room with the pool table and darts, the children especially enjoyed it. This house is ideal for families of mixed ages and only a short drive into Whitby a two minute walk takes you to the local pub that I can recommend. A most enjoyable stay and highly recommended

The property itself is pretty special with a lot of history. The views are spectacular. For us the location was just right. There was a couple of minor issues ie items which the booklet said were there and they wern't but these were resolved quickly by the owner. Some of the information could maybe be a little more up to date that refers to the wheelie bin collection dates. Aside from that we had a good time and would I recommend staying at Aislaby Hall yes I would
Carina
We had an amazing week we all said wow as we walked in. the children got to play rounders in the garden a few times, the garden is huge fantastic views from the house. the games room was the best room By the children
Beautiful house with fascinating history and fantastic views.

We booked Aislaby Hall for a 3 generation family holiday ages 2283. Aislaby itself was a good base for exploring the area, close to the park and ride into Whitby, plus the bonus of a great pub The Forge on the doorstep. The accommodation was very spacious and ideal for large groups. The kitchen was well equipped with the welcome milk, bread, eggs and biscuits a lovely touch. On the ground floor there is also a lovely dining room , a sitting room, a WC, a room set up as a childrens playroom plus a conservatory with pool table, darts board etc. There are stunning views over the valley so it is such a shame that 2 laurels completely blocked the view from the sitting room. The staircase is stunning with numerous eyes from the many portraits on the landing watching your every move, The 3 large bedrooms 2 en suite and two twin rooms plus a family bathroom with separate WC offer plenty of space upstairs. Since booking the accommodation our parents mobility had declined so a couple of things were an issue so should be considered if planning a trip here. Firstly all the showers are over the bath which unfortunately was an issue for especially my Mum. Maybe if there are future upgrades at least one walk in shower would be beneficial. Secondly, and less of an issue, was some of the seating in the sitting room were very low to the ground which the parents would never be able to get up from. We got around this by moving a nice 2 seater settee from the unused childrens room into the sitting room. The conservatory games room provided alot of fun during the week. Yes the pool table has seen better days and there is a bit of a slope on it but we had a great time putting it to good use. Parking is on the drive in drive out driveway so be prepared for lots of car moving each morning if members of your party are leaving at different times. There are 2 areas of gravel that you were supposed to be able to park on but very large planters had been positioned on each preventing their use. Finally the rear gardens of the property are shared with an attached apartment. We only met the 2 elderly occupants shortly after arrival. Rather than a polite introduction we got a we hope you are not going to be rowdy! Obviously not familiar with Northern hospitality!

Just back from a lovely stay at Aislaby Hall with a group of friends. Lovely house with beautiful grounds. Facilities really good the only thing was the showers arent very powerful. Great location for exploring Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Stathies, Sandsend and SaltburnonSea. The house has great facilities for eating in or the local pub The Forge serves lovely food. We enjoyed the Sunday lunch and evening menu one evening.
This was a fantastic holiday house plenty of room and very comfortable, great for large groupsfamilies. Only minor tweaks would make it even better. The towels were old and very small, no dressing tables in any of the bedrooms for hair and makeup. The garden was brilliant and extremely large but grass needed cutting. Given that we would definitely stay again.
Charlotte
Loved our stay at Aislaby Hall, a clean, well presented house and with large garden. Only thing that let us down was the weather but that was out of everyone's control. Would definitely go back!
Matthew
An excellent break at a venue with stunning views and a wonderful sense of history.
This is a comfortable and warm rental. It is well equipped and has superb views. We all really enjoyed the stay.
Michael
Ideally situated for visiting both the coast and the North York moors. We stayed as a family party of 10 2 dogs and had a very enjoyable time for the week away even the weather was kind to us. Property itself is very spacious with a very modern kitchen with all the facilities you would require. Also has a good games room and childrens play area to keep the youngsters amused. Views from the living room and kitchen are excellent. The original house is quite old and if we were being pedantic we felt that there were a few little things that perhaps required a bit of tlc but these did not detract from our stay . Situated in the centre of the village and opposite a very friendly pub we had an excellent family gathering and would not hesitate to return . To be recommended if youre looking for a large house for a special event
A lovely, roomy and airy house in a pretty village with wonderful views across the valley towards the moors. A great sun roomconservatory and extensive garden. There was more than ample parking for our 3 cars. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and the Welcome Pack was much appreciated. The ensuite bathrooms were smart and the bedrooms large and the beds very comfortable. The house really is just a few minutes drive to Whitby.
Door to on suite bathroom didn't close, needs a small amount shaved off the bottom. Everything else was great!

Aislaby Hall is set in a stunning location. Our family of 6 adults, 2 babies and a 5 year old had the most amazing time. The items left by the home owners were a very welcomed gift, especially has we arrived late. Its in the perfect location for getting out and about around the local area. The Forge pub, 2 minutes walk from the hall, is excellent for food, we ate there twice and both times it was faultless. I would definitely recommend Aislaby Hall to friends and family.
Rebecca
We had a lovely stay and the house had everything we needed. Perfect fir a big family group.
Patricia
What a fabulous week at Aislaby Hall , everything was spot on and the views are amazing , cant wait for next visit . Only one minor detail, the bins are way too small for such a big property.
Gillian
We had an enjoyable weekend, ideal for families. The kids loved the games room and Pool table. Good kitchen and dining facilities. Great to have welcome pack and basics provided. Thank you
All good thanks. Fantastic views.
Really enjoyed our stay with our large family. The property was very comfortable indeed and very well equipped for a large group. The only slight criticism is there is no heating in the conservatorygames room. We had chosen the property partly based on the availability of the poolsnooker table but were unable to use it in the evening as it was so cold in there. I am sure it would be fabulous in the late spring and summer months. Maybe this should be mentioned in the description of the facilities during winter months?
Andrew
For a property of this size more wheelie bins are required for both general waste and recycling. Also, only providing a single tea towel is insufficient. Having programmed the Hive heating to meet our needs, I suspect that this was subsequently altered by someone Overall a great property for large family groups.
Comfortable space, well equipped kitchen with nice cups, plates, utensils etc, games room with the pool table was a hit. The views and location were excellent also.
